ZINEMA Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the Zinema app ("Zinema", "we") collects, why,
and the choices you have. It covers the Android app and the services at
zinema.stream. If you do not agree with it, please do
not use the app.
Using Zinema without an account
You can browse and watch as a guest. In guest mode we do not collect your name or email. Your watchlist and viewing progress are stored on your device, and basic app-usage, crash, and advertising data described below still applies because it comes from the app itself, not from an account.

We do not request access to your location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera. Analytics and advertising services may infer an approximate region from your IP address.
How your data is used
- To provide the service: play video, remember your place, sync your list.
- To operate accounts and subscriptions.
- To show ads to free users and to suppress them for Premium and Kids profiles.
- To diagnose crashes and improve reliability.
We do not sell your personal data.
Third-party services
Zinema relies on services that process data under their own privacy policies:
- Google Sign-In — authentication (name, email).
- Google Play Billing — subscriptions and purchase state.
- Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics — usage and crash data.
- Google AdMob — advertising, using your advertising ID. AdMob may share this identifier with Google for advertising. You can reset or limit it in your device settings under Ads.
- Meta (Facebook) — measures which advertising campaign led to an install, using your advertising ID and app-open events. If you buy a Premium subscription, the plan and its price are also reported, so we can tell which campaigns bring paying subscribers. No payment details are involved — Google Play handles those and we never see them. All of this is shared with Meta for that measurement. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it is only enabled after you answer the consent prompt, and the same device setting that limits ad tracking applies.
See Google's Privacy Policy for how they handle this data. Video is delivered through third-party content delivery networks; those requests are made to stream what you choose to play.
Where your data is stored and how long
Account and viewing data is stored on our servers at
zinema.stream. It is kept while your account exists and
is removed when you delete your account, except where we must briefly retain
records for security or legal reasons.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account and data — in the app under Profiles → Delete account, or on the web at zinema.stream/account/delete. This removes your account, profiles, watchlist, and viewing history.
- Go ad-free — subscribe to Premium, or reset/limit your advertising ID in device settings.
- Guest mode — use the app without giving a name or email.
If you subscribe through Google Play, cancel the subscription in Play — deleting your Zinema account does not stop Google Play billing.
Children
Zinema is not directed at children under 13, and the free tier shows ads. Kids profiles filter content and show no ads, but the app is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over.
Security
All data sent between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Sign-in tokens are stored encrypted on your device.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date at the top. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
